Lady Rocks is where girls in Western New York develop into confident, skilled, competitive hockey players—and strong, resilient young women.

Over the past four years, our program has grown more than 5x, from 22 athletes to over 100, while maintaining a 98% player retention rate. That growth is a direct result of a development-first model that prioritizes long-term success over short-term results.

In 2026, the Buffalo Shamrocks were recognized with the USA Hockey Female Honors Award, a distinction awarded to organizations leading the growth and development of girls hockey. This recognition reflects the impact of our players, families, and coaches—and validates the model we’ve built together.

As part of that continued growth, the Shamrocks have also begun a collaboration with Buffalo native, Olympic Gold Medalist Hayley Scamurra, bringing mentorship and expanded development opportunities directly to our athletes.

Rooted in the Shamrocks mission since 2001, Lady Rocks develops players the right way: structured, age-appropriate, and team-first.

The Path

A clear, intentional development pathway:

• Early development in a supportive, skill-focused environment
• Introduction to girls programming at 8U and 10U, alongside coed/boys play
• Transition to dedicated girls teams with a structured progression
• Full girls pathway at 12U, 14U, and 16U
